Update regarding services rendered

It seems important to clarify what services this farm offers. We only offer shipped hatching eggs. The farm does not give advice via email on hatching, poultry rearing, setting up a farm, sourcing stock etc! Please utilize the free information posted on the website, buy a book, google it or use You tube. There are many resources you can locate.

Eggs are shipped in Canada Only.

If your email requires a direct response, such as having issues at check out, I will get back to you. A response will not be sent if you clearly did not read the terms regarding shipped eggs or if the information is already posted on the website. Emails responses have now been limited to once per week. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to Canada Post having internal issues along with shipping delays, the farm is currently not using this carrier. Due to the over load on other couriers, it is causing networks to crash during the completion of creating the shipping labels. This can potentially lead to shipping delays.

In order to combat this issue, we are now creating shipping label starting each Friday through Sunday. This is not shipping the package but preparing the label ahead of time. Your orders cannot be change once the label is created.

If you were wanting additional eggs added to your order and the label has already been created, you will need to place a new order and it will ship separely.

Just a friendly reminder that late parcels are non refundable due to the discounted shipping partners used.

Due to conditions beyong the farms control during shipping or incubation, we are unable to guarantee hatchability. This is a common practice for shipped eggs.

Handling Fee at check out

Packaging with cartons will be phased out over the next few months as we use up the stock. This has been offered for free over the last many years and we cannot no longer sustain this offer. We tried keeping it and offering a suggestion of a tip at checkout, which unfortunately was not enough to cover the costs as most opted out while some were extremely generous and this didn't feel fair.

We will be switching all packaging to Egg Armour. There is less breakage that occurs using this method and we need less box sizes in order to reduce our cost.

Some changes effective immediately are the Quail egg purchases. Min purchase is now 24 eggs. The separated color pens are no longer offered. They are offered as assorted (but still separated) to reduce time sorting the eggs and filling the orders. Custom orders may be available via email request for an additional $25 processing fee and a min. of 4 dozen eggs purchased. Egg Armour is not included and is extra.

There is currently a new handling fee at check out for $10 to cover time and other costs associated with the delicate products. This fee will change to approx $20 once the egg cartons are phased out. This is a flat fee to cover the costs of foam materials, handling, and other associated expenses. This amount may be changed so please check back. If you are concerned about the packaging fee cost, we encourage you to consider ordering in larger quantities to maximize your value.

If you place a double order, the handling fee is non refundable. We cannot guarantee combined orders if placed separately so please don't request this. Orders cannot be changed once placed as they begin processing as soon as they are placed for shipping that following Monday/Tuesday.

Poultry eggs min purchase is changing to a min of 12 eggs. If you would like to order less, this is a custom order and subject to a custom order fee of $25.

🌟 Important Update for Our Valued Customers 🌟

As many of you know, my passion lies in raising heritage poultry, and I am committed to ensuring the health and safety of my farm.

Due to recent concerns regarding the spread of diseases between farms, I must prioritize the well-being of my operation.

Effective immediately, I will no longer be offering pick-up options, nor will I be providing chicks. Going forward, my focus will be solely on offering shipped hatching eggs.

This decision also comes after noticing challenges with scheduling appointments, including missed or late arrivals.

As a one-person operation, I need to concentrate on fulfilling shipping orders and maintaining the highest quality of care for my poultry.

I appreciate your understanding and support as I navigate these changes. Thank you for being a part of our community, and I look forward to continuing to serve you through shipping!
